Description: Lou Gehrig auto. photograph by George Burke c.1930s. Fine sepia tone 8"x10" matted and framed image pictures Gehrig smiling in Yankees uniform. The photo has been signed at the bottom right, "To Ray Best Wishes Lou Gehrig" in black fountain pen. Signature strength is outstanding rating 10 out of 10. The photo itself has some surface creasing mostly to the background area which does not affect the overall appearance of the piece. A few of the surface creases have been lightly touched in by a professional restorer which is mentioned for accuracy only. Additionally, the photo has an original white border, which has a corner chip that is not visible under the matting. Gehrig signed images of this quality are notably scarce.
