Description: Ty Cobb single signed baseball. Toned official B.Johnson AL baseball with blue and red stitching is signed by Cobb on a side panel with an inscription to a "Father Murphy" in the sweet spot area above. Signature rates 5/6 out of 10. Cobb hit the ball for a foul during a game between the Tigers and the Yankees. Father Murphy, a Roman Catholic Priest, caught the ball and had Cobb sign it upon returning to the dugout. The ball shows evident game use including several areas of impact.
