Description: Scarce Philadelphia Athletics Base Ball Club stock certificate as issued to Connie Mack. Original stock certificate as issued to Cornelius McGillicuddy (Connie Mack) for (20) shares of stock in the "American Base Ball Club of Philadelphia". The certificate is signed by Mack with rare full name "C.McGillicuddy" signature and by team owner Benjamin Shibe with both signatures having several holes punched for cancellation. The certificate is also signed on the back by Mack in black fountain pen rating 8/9 out of 10. The original ledger receipt page dated December 29, 1913 is adhered to the certificate and is also signed at the bottom, "Cornelius McGillicuddy" rating 8/9 out of 10. Overall size of 9"x15". The offered stock certificate is the first example that we have encountered with note to the significance of its issue to Mack (and the rarity of the full name signature format).
