Description: Scarce 1952 Brooklyn Dodgers "World Champions" phantom pennant. Original purple felt pennant created in anticipation of a World Championship for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Player names incl. Robinson, Campanella, Hodges, and Snider are featured at the left on a white scroll. Color tinted image of the Brooklyn "Bum" is also pictured at the left edge with "The Bums" caption underneath. Although the Dodgers were NL champions in 1952, they once again fell to the Yankees in the World Series. Overall condition is very fine with two small period pinhole repairs and some very minor color fading to a few areas. First example that we have handled: EX
