Description: Significant Forbes Field Inaugural Game panoramic photograph. Scarce offering of an original image relating to the June 30, 1909 inaugural game played at Pittsburgh's Forbes Field. Panoramic photograph taken from a right field vantage point pictures the enormous crowd of over 30,000 in the grandstands and overflowing into the outfield area. Image quality is exceptional with the players clearly visible along with the scoreboard in center field. The photo measures 8"x34" matted and framed with some typical light vertical creasing from 'scrolling'. Marked by noted Pittsburgh photographer R.W. Johnston Studios at the lower left.
