Description: Rare Babe Ruth auto. letter. Typewritten letter dated May 19, 1947 on Babe Ruth's personal stationary with desirable content regarding Ruth's salutations to a Rotary Boys Club. Letter reads in part, "Always fight hard, but always make sure you fight clean, and fight for what is right. Play according to the rules no matter where you are. Pull hard for your team at all times; try never to let them down. Know they are pulling just as hard for you when it's your turn at bat." The letter is boldly signed by Ruth at the bottom in blue fountain pen rating 9/10 out of 10. The letter itself is affixed at the left edge to a period album page which could easily be removed if so desired. The right edge has some light foxing evident from age toning.
