Description: 1887 Detroit Wolverines baseball team cabinet photograph. Desirable early team composite cabinet photograph picturing the National League Champion Wolverines with individual player vignettes. Players include Hanlon, White, Baldwin, Brouthers, Thompson, and Richardson. Image quality remains very fine with original contrast and clarity. Bottom margin of the mount has printed titling, "Detroit Base Ball Club 1887 Champions of the League". The top edge of the image has some toning and surface soiling. The back of the mount has Tomlinson photographer's stamp with a few pieces of tape residue and a small tape repair to a torn corner at the bottom right area of the mount. 4 1/4"x6 1/2". Includes letter of provenance from the White family: VG-EX
