Lot Number: 622

Description: Scarce 1926 World Series full ticket auto. by Babe Ruth. Incredibly rare unused full ticket from Game #7 of the 1926 World Series played at Yankee Stadium. Despite a home run by Babe Ruth, the game went to the visiting St. Louis Cardinals who defeated the Yankees by a count of four games to three. The back of the ticket is signed in fountain pen by Ruth, Lazzeri, Meusel, Pennock, Hoyt, Dugan, and umpire Bill McGowan who added "1928 World Series". Sigs range from 8-10 out of 10. An enterprising young boy used a Game #1 ticket to get into the game preserving the offered ticket. The boy later had umpire Bill McGowan get the autographs on the back of the ticket during the 1928 World Series. Exceptional rarity in very high grade condition. Includes LOA from James Spence Authentication: NM
