Description: Babe Ruth and Jack Dempsey auto. baseball c.1929. Lt. toned NL baseball signed by the two great "heavyweight" athletes of the era, Babe Ruth and Jack Dempsey. Ruth has signed a side panel in black ink rating 9 out of 10 with Dempsey on the opposite side panel rating 7/8 out of 10. Interestingly, the ball is also signed on another panel by Glenna Collett. Collett is widely regarded as the finest female golfer of the first half of the 20th century. The signature rates 5/6 out of 10 and is dated July 1929 in Collett's hand. During the 1920s-30s era there were no more captivating athletes then Ruth and Dempsey. Both men dominated their respective sporst and were known for their flamboyant public images. Very unique combination baseball being offered publicly for the first time. Includes LOA from James Spence Authentication: Ball: EX, Signatures: Range EX-NM
