Description: 1973 Willie Mays New York Mets home pants. Pair of pinstriped white knit pants as worn by Mays during the 1972 season. Interior waistband retains its original Rawlings tag with "Set 1 #8P 1972" flag tag along with "32 24 72" strip tag denoting Mays' uniform number of "24". The pants also have the #52 written in black laundry marker twice on the interior waistband in reference to Pignatano's number. The pants were given by Mays directly to Pignatano and exhibit evident use incl. a small repaired hole and some typical light soiling.
