Description: 1939 "Cooperstown" Baseball Centennial game uniform. Rare full size baseball pinstriped flannel uniform worn during the games played in conjunction with the 1939 Baseball Centennial celebration. Jersey has "Cooperstown" lettered across the front and "Baseball 1939 Centennial" across the back. Retains its original 1939 Centennial logo patch on the sleeve and Spalding mfg. tag inside the collar. Jersey has some usage wear incl. tattering to the collar, a few small repaired holes, and appears to have had another patch on the left sleeve, which is now missing. Matching pants also retain Spalding mfg. tag inside the waist and have evident usage incl. a few repairs to holes/tears. Includes a photograph of a similar jersey as worn by a player in the period.
