Description: Fine Babe Ruth single signed baseball c.1926-28. Off white Wilson "Official League" American Association baseball signed on the sweet spot by Babe Ruth with early signature style quotations. Signature remains very strong rating a conservative 8 out of 10 with a minute abrasion near the "t" in Ruth mentioned for accuracy only. Red and black stitched ball has league president T.J. Hickey (1917-34) stamped on the side panel with the ball retaining fairly uniform overall condition having only minor surface wear to a few areas. The majority of pre-1928 Ruth single signed baseballs generally date to the early 1920's when Ruth's signature was notably smaller in size compared to his later robust autographs. The offered example exhibits Ruth's transition to the larger more flamboyant autograph. Includes LOA from James Spence Autographs and LOA from PSA/DNA: Ball: EX-MT, Signature: EX/MT-NM
