Description: Exceptional 1954 Topps baseball card set. Easily the finest example of a 1954 Topps set that we have handled missing #94 Ernie Banks and #147 for completion. The set was carefully assembled over a number of years and is being offered for the first time publicly. Key cards grade as follows: Williams #1: SGC 60 EX, Robinson #10: SGC 7 NM, Martin #13: EX, Rizzuto #17: NM, Spahn #20: EX-EX/MT, Mathews #30: EX/MT-NM, Snider #32: EX/MT-NM, Ford #37: NM-NM/MT, Ashburn #45: SGC 88 NM-MT, Berra #50: EX (NM but has edge ding), Mays #90: EX-EX/MT (Spectacular card grades NM-MT except for a small area of surface wrinkles at bottom right), Aaron #128: (NM appearance but has evidence of alterations, car was acquired by the consignor at a later date as a filler), Lasorda #EX, Kaline #201, and Williams #250: EX. EX. Balance of the set grades mostly EX/MT with numerous NM examples. Includes a few VG/EX cards.
