Uncommon oversized 11"x14" sepia tone image of Babe Ruth presenting the All-America Board of Baseball certificates (see Lot # 61) to four players before the 1935 World Series including Charlie Gehringer. The photo has been inscribed by Babe Ruth in black fountain near the bottom, "To My Friend Charlie Gehringer From Babe Ruth". Signature rates 8/9 out of 10, image itself has some typical surface creasing to the edges and retains strong original contrast. Ruth signed images of this quality and size are notably rare.
