Description: Joe DiMaggio original caricature artwork c. 1947. Large format 22"x28" original ink illustrative display picturing DiMaggio in several different vignette images surrounded by Yankee Stadium and related images. Text details DiMaggio's excellent start to the 1947 season and its comparison to his 1941 benchmark 56 game hitting streak. Signed at lower right "Walter Sulzbach Yankee Stadium 5/26/47", piece has some vertical fold lines which have some beginnings of separation. Also has a circular stain area at top right and a small area of loss at the right edge.
