Description: Fine 1945 Esquire All-American Boys Baseball Game lot. Group of items from the personal collection of Art Thrasher who had played in the All-American games to include: Off white Amer. Association ball with names of the 1945 Western All-Stars members and signatures of coaches Chuck Dressen and Ty Cobb. Cobb signature is remarkably bold rating 9.5 out of 10: NM; Original program from the 1945 game picturing the coaches Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb: EX-MT; (2) unused tickets from the game played at the Polo Grounds on August 28, 1945: NM; Spring 1946 issue of Esquire newspaper detailing the game: VG-EX; and a high quality spiral bound souvenir photo album featuring 8"x10" sepia tone images of the players and coaches for the West team. Several of the players have signed their respective images along with coach Ty Cobb. Cobb signature is outstanding rating 9.5 out of 10: NM. Interesting historical baseball lot with strong breakdown value. Includes LOA from PSA/DNA J.Spence-S.Grad.
