Description: Professional model fielder's glove attributed to Pee Wee Reese c.1940's. Professional quality Rawlings Bill Doak model RHT fielder's glove with various high quality features incl. double tunnel loop "I" webbing and professional model 'floating heel'. Glove exhibits strong usage but remains intact with desirable original patina. Has a small stitching repair at the back of the base at the thumb area. Originally obtained from Reese by former Major League player Roy Bruner around 1946 who was acquainted with Reese from their Louisville baseball days and then later as a friend and business partner. Bruner subsequently gave the glove to his neighbor in Louisville, KY Mr. Phil Hall. The glove has not been previously offered for sale and will include a notarized letter of provenance from Mr. Hall. Very fine early playing career exemplar from "The Captain" with impeccable provenance and is one of the few documented Reese game gloves extant.
