Description: Unique Ty Cobb dual autographed photograph c.1927-28. Mounted 7 1/4"x9" sepia tone image of Cobb standing in Phila. Athletics road uniform signed at left side, "Ty Cobb 3/8/27". Signature has some age fading and rates 4 out of 10. To the right of the central image Cobb has later signed, "To George Wolbert Jr. From His Friend Ty Cobb." Second signature is markedly better and rates 8 out of 10. Most likely signed by Cobb again at the request of Mr. Wolbert when other signature faded. Image itself is striking with minimal surface wear incl. a few tiny indentations at left background area. First dual signed Cobb photograph that we have encountered.
