Description: Significant 1923 New York Yankees World Championship pocketwatch. Rare gold pocketwatch presented to New York Yankees trainer "Doc" Woods in honor of the first Yankees World Championship in 1923. Five sided watch features a handsome baseball game scene engraving on the reverse with inscribed lettering, "YANKEES" and "World's Champions 1923". Made by the famed Gruen Co. the watch remains in running order with some light flaking to the watch facing and typical light surface wear to the gold surface.
