Description: Superb Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig auto. baseball. Clean off white McKinnon Sporting Goods Co. "League Special" ball signed by Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in bold blue fountain pen. Both autographs remain very strong rating 9 out of 10 with desirable positioning for display. Ball is dated on side panel, "Oct. 30, 1928" and has the recipient's name "E.L. Burkle" printed near the manufacturer stampings. The ball was signed for the young boy (Burkle) in 1928 when Ruth and Gehrig were passing through Sioux City, Iowa on their famed Bustin Babes/Larrupin Lous barnstorming tour. The ball was signed and then tucked away preserving it in near original condition. Very high quality Ruth and Gehrig signed ball from the 1928 Tour with direct provenance. Includes LOA from PSA/DNA J.Spence-S.Grad and a letter of provenance from the Burkle family: NM
