Description: Rare Bob Meusel professional model baseball bat c.1921-30. Hickory L.Slugger 125 model bat measures 34" long and weighs 33oz. vault marked model number S43 on both knob and barrel ends. Striking example retains an attractive deep brown original finish and shows good usage wear incl. handle crack, scored handle, barrel wear incl. cleat marks, and factory side writing which is faded indicating the bat was returned by another player. Meusel was a member of the Yankees "Murderer's Row" batting order and led the league in home runs with (33) in 1925. The offered example is the finest that we have encountered.
