Description:Estate collection of vintage catcher's equipment c.1890-1900. Pair of early catching implements to include grommet back catcher's mitt with white leather back and reinforced pocket. Full size mitt had a buckle back added on later which has been removed and is missing the grommet lacings, interior shows typical usage wear with web buckle strap partially intact: VG and a fine Reach spider style catcher's mask with original manufacturer's/patent stampings (1891) on head strap, chin strap, and back strappings. Very clean original condition except for some reinforced wire padding attachments and typical dryness to the leather: EX
