Description: Sam Rice professional model baseball bat c.1928. Early 34 1/2" long bat with no manufacturer's stampings weighing 32oz. Vault marked model number R78 is stamped on both knob and barrel ends. Bat has general usage incl. barrel wear and factory side writing "Sam Rice ?-28 Washington Amer.". Rice bats are among the toughest HOF'er bats from this era with less then (5) examples known. Includes LOA from SCD Authentic D.Bushing/D.Knoll and letter of provenance from the Hillerich & Bradsby Co: VG-EX
