Description: Jim Delahanty professional model baseball bat c.1910. Very early bat measures 34 1/2" long and weighs 41oz. retaining a fine dark original surface having "DELAHANTY" stamped in block lettering on the barrel end. Bat shows evident usage wear incl. barrel wear and factory side writing "Jim Delahanty" with no other barrel markings. Knob and barrel ends have vault marked model number D7 stamped. Delahanty was one of four brothers who played in the Major Leagues including HOF'er Ed Delahanty. Jim played for (13) years on several teams including the Brooklyn Federal League team. Very obscure early player game bat from the Hillerich & Bradbsy archives. Includes LOA from SCD Authentic D.Bushing/D.Knoll and letter of provenance from the Hillerich & Bradsby Co: VG-EX
