Description: 1907 Detroit Tigers World Champions souvenir paper mache hat. Rare and possibly unique souvenir from the Tigers 1907 ALChampionship season measures 6" long with hand painted Tiger "D" on front and pinstriping. Retains original "The Grant Novelty Co. Detroit" label inside, ironically stenciled "World's Champions 1907" on top of hat bill as it must have been sold during the World Series before the Tigers lost to the Cubs. Overall condition is superb given original fragility with some light paint wear and a small pinhole at the back edge. Very rare and obscure piece is the first we have encountered: EX
