Description: 1941 Kansas City Monarchs team autographed baseball. Lightly toned Spalding "Official League" ball signed by 16 players from the legendary team including Satchell Paige, Hilton Smith, Jon O'Niel, Chet Brewer, Ted Strong , and Frank Duncan. Signatures range from 5-9 out of 10, ball has several small ink marks including one on "Pa" in Paige. Monarchs were the champions of the Negro American League in 1941 and team signed balls from this period are seldom offered. Ball contains the signature of Frank Duncan the long time catcher for the Monarchs and whose signature is extremely scarce. Ball was obtained at a game played on 9/12/1941 and is appropriately noted in Chet Brewer's hand on a side panel: EX
