Description: Extremely rare Eddie Plank autographed M. McGillin original illustration. Dated Oct. 24, 1911 and signed by the artist picturing Plank looking to the right, 9”x13” matted and framed. Signed in black ink, “Ed S. Plank” rating 8/9 out of 10 in the lower margin. Plank was a pitching mainstay for the early 1900’s Athletics pitching in 54 World Series innings with an ERA of 1.30. He passed away at the age of 51 in 1926 and his signature ranks among the toughest of all Hall of Famers. The offered example is the finest Plank signed item that we’ve encountered and furthermore is among the finest extant: EX-MT
