Description: Rare Spalding Fielder's figural baseball trophy c. 1915-20. The rarest of the five trophy set the offered example is seldom seen, graceful fielder reaching for a ball standing on metal platform. Silverplated base is uninscribed and retains wooden painted base with Dieges & Clust metal tag. Trophy retains wonderful unpolished original patina and has only light overall age wear. There is a small repair to ankles where one had cracked and the other was loose which is noticed upon close inspection. 16" tall: EX-EX/MT
