Description: Rare George Wright auto. piece. Superb exemplar of a true baseball pioneer signed on a piece of unlined 3"x6" cream color paper, "Compliments of Your Friend Geo. Wright P.B.B.C. Champions 1879". Signature and salutation remain in fine condition rating 8 out of 10. Signed while Wright was playing and managing the Providence Grays leading them to the NL Championship in his only year as manager. Paper has two small repairs on back to corner areas not affecting signature or writing. Seldom offered significant 19th century HOF autograph: EX
