Description: Rare 1899 John J.McGraw auto. handwritten letter. Early foldout two page hand penned letter from the Baltimore Orioles player with content regarding the recent death of his wife. Letter provides an interesting look at the sincere emotions of McGraw who even as a player was considered to be one of the toughest in the league. Signed on the final page, "Very Sincerely John J. McGraw October twenty fourth 'ninety nine". Signature rates 9 out of 10, letter remains very clean with light mailing fold lines. Very desirable and rare HOF'er signature with the offered letter being the first of its type that we have handled. Includes LOA from PSA/DNA J.Spence-S.Grad: EX-MT
