Description: Rare University of Alabama football practice jersey attributed to Joe Namath c.1962. Well worn and used blue practice jersey which has faded to a pale grayish blue color. Retains original applied "BAMA" white lettering with number "44" below. Original Fred Sington Birmingham, Alabama tagging remains on tail front along with size/cleaning tag. Jersey has numerous holes and general usage wear/staining appropriate for those hot Birmingham practice sessions. Includes image of Namath wearing the identical shirt during his freshman season of 1962. Joe Namath brought the Alabama football program into the Collegiate elite under coach Bear Bryant. Includes LOA from SCD Authentic David Bushing/Dan Knoll/Lou Lampson: GD-VG
