Description: 1965 Minnesota Twins American League Champions team auto. baseball. The 1965 campaign was a dream season for the Twins who energized the Twin Cities by winning 102 games and the American League pennant. They were powered by the MVP performance of Zoilo Versalles, batting champion Tony Oliva (.321), sluggers Harmon Killebrew, Bob Allison, Don Mincher, and Jim Hall, and the sharp pitching of Mudcat Grant and Jim Kaat. The Dodgers were heavy favorites in the 1965 World Series, but the Twins stunned the world by beating Dodgers aces Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale in the first two games. The Dodgers rallied, however, and ultimately edged the courageous Twins in Game 7 behind a Koufax shutout to win the Wolrd Championship. This snow-white Official American League (Cronin) baseball represents that classic Twins team with a full 30 blue ink signatures, including Killebrew, Versalles, Oliva, Allison, Grant, Kaat, Mincher, Hall, Billy Martin (coach), Perry, Pascual, and Mele. Includes LOA from PSA/DNA J. Spence-S.Grad: NM
