Description: Significant L.A. Dodgers auto. home plate c.1958. Period home plate used in Dodger Stadium during the first year of play for the Dodgers in 1958. Surface exhibits wonderful patina with some flaking to edge chipping to the top. The offered home plate was originally housed in the personal collection of former Dodgers owner Peter O'Malley who later had players sign the top incl. Koufax, Reese, Labine, Newcombe, Garvey, and Lasorda. Includes letter of provenance stating that it was obtained in Manny Mota's charity auction. Important stadium antiquity which countless legendary players have crossed en route to victory. Includes LOA from PSA/DNA J.Spence-S.Grad: Plate: VG-EX, Signatures: EX-MT
