Description: Jimmie Wilson and Rogers Hornsby game worn baseball glove c.1920-30's. RHT Bill Doak model fielder's glove by Rawlings, St. Louis that was obtained directly from former Major League player Jimmie Wilson who was played with Hornsby on the St. Louis Cardinals. Glove shows good usage wear incl. pocket soiling and some flaking to interior leather lining on back. Retains orig. Bill Doak/Rawlings tag on back strap and Mitchell & Ness, Phila. tag on back of middle finger at the base. Includes xerox copy of a handwritten letter of provenance sent to Michael Lopota in 1952 from Jimmie Wilson stating that the offered glove was given to Wilson by Hornsby at the St. Louis Browns opening day game (Hornsby was a coach). Also includes letter of provenance from Joel Platt: VG
