Description: Babe Ruth professional model baseball bat c.1923-25. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 35" long and weighs 35 ounces (could have weighed as much as 5oz. more when shipped from the factory). Bat retains bold trademark and fasc. signature stampings with good usage wear including a repaired handle crack. Barrel of bat has some staining at end, small square stain, and a small hole that has been filled in on backside of barrel. During the era in which this bat was produced Ruth was hitting full stride as a player including his first World Championship as a New York Yankee in 1923. Babe Ruth game used bats remain one of the hallmarks of a great sports collection and given the status of Ruth as one of the greatest batsman in Major League history is a requisite piece for any significant Ruth collection.
