Description: Satchell Paige auto. game worn baseball glove c.1940's. Rawlings RHT "Professional" model glove retaining orig. black and red Rawlings tag on backstrap and Rawlings raised logo on brass button. Interior of glove shows heavy usage wear and retains faint but visible "Professional Model" stampings on heel area. Interior thumb area has been signed, "Satchel Paige Homestead Grays" by Paige rating 9 out of 10 in black marker. Glove was obtained directly from Satchel Paige by Joel Platt who also had the glove signed by Paige. Paige is universally accepted as one of the most storied men in baseball history and regarded by many as one of the finest pitchers in baseball history. Includes letter of provenance from Joel Platt stating that Paige indicated that the glove was a game used glove, Satchel Paige auto. b&w postcard signed, "Best Wishes From Satchel Paige", LOA from PSA/DNA J.Spence-S.Grad (autographs), and letter of originality from David Bushing/Dan Knoll: EX
