Description: Collection of five-(5) Homestead Grays oversized photographs c.1942. Very rare and substantial offering to include: 10"x17" image of the Grays infielders incl. Bankhead, Leonard, and Williams. Has a chip at bottom edge and is offcut at top edge: VG; "Heavy Hitters" 9"x12" image of Easterling, Bankhead, Williams, and Gibson: EX; "Heavy Hitters" 8 1/2"x10" image of Whatley, Benjamin, and Leonard: EX; Outfielders 8 1/2"x10" image of Harris, Whatley, and Benjamin: EX; and Pitchers 10"x16" image incl. Brown, Partlow, and Wright. Has a chip at bottom left corner: VG-EX. All images are mounted on period black album pages and have been titled/identified on the image in period ink. One such image would qualify as a significant Negro League related find let alone a grouping of five large format images.
