Description: 1929 Philadelphia Athletics team panoramic photograph. Classic sepia tone image of the World Champions lined up in Shibe Park with players incl. Foxx, Grove, Simmons, Cochrane, Collins, Earnshaw, and manager Connie Mack. The image remains in near original condition with strong contrast and clarity. Photo size is 8"x29" in its' original mount with titling at bottom center, "American Baseball Club of Philadelphia World Champions 1929". This period mount is the first that we have encountered and is done in the manner of the early 1910's A's panoramic mounts. Many baseball historians rank the 1929 Athletics team as the best in baseball history ahead of even the 1927 NY Yankees: EX/MT-NM
