Description: Scarce 1910 Philadelphia Athletics Imperial team photograph. Mounted large format image of the legendary World Champion 1910 Athletics posed in full home uniforms on the field. Imposing overall size of 16"x34" exhibits uncommon strong clarity for its' size relative to the era in which it was created. Players include Frank Baker, Chief Bender, Eddie Plank, Eddie Collins, Harry Davis, and their immortal manager Connie Mack who is seated in the center dressed in his usual dapper attire. The Athletics teams from the early part of the century were baseball's first true dynasty boasting numerous Hall of Fame players and several World Championships. The Athletics were among the first teams to create such large format photographic pieces with the offered example among the rarest of the early A's team images of size. This image is one of three known to exist all of which originated from direct player and team sources. Photo has some light toning at top edge and once had a larger mount which has been trimmed to the edge of the photo.
