February 26, 1976 Joe Frazier has always been about Philadelphia. He came up the hard way and served as the model for Rocky in the famous film series. Following his fabulous career, most of life remained centered in Philadelphia, in part focused on assisting the city's urban youth. Clearly, this award has great meaning for Joe and his family.
