Description: Significant 1958 Roy Campanella Brooklyn Dodgers contract. The offered contract was to pay Roy Campanella $42,000.00 for the 1958 season which promised to be full of excitement as the Dodgers were moving to Los Angeles. The contract is dated January 2, 1958 signed by Roy and Dodger Vice President Bavasi but unfortunately would be rendered useless as in January of the same year Roy Campanella was permanently paralyzed in an auto accident. Contract remains clean overall with some toning to one area on the front, signatures rate 9 out of 10. Given the fact that Roy's accident took place on 1958 it is very likely that this contract which was pre-dated was one of the last items to be signed by Roy Campanella.
