The game was played as an exhibition game between the Yankees and Dodgers at the first game played in the Los Angeles Coliseum before a crowd of 93,103 which is the largest crowd to view a Mjaor League baseball game. The game was dedicated to Roy Campanella from which the offered bowl originates. Bowl measures 10" in diameter and is inscribed on front, "Yankee-Dodger Game in Honor of Roy Campanella May 7, 1959 Los Angeles Coliseum Attendance 93,103". Marked F.B. Rogers Silver Co. on bottom, has a few tiny dings on body. Includes letter of provenance from Campanella family: EX-MT
