Description: Superb Babe Ruth single signature baseball c.1926-27. Near white Ban Johnson AL ball with notably bold stampings signed on the sweet spot by Babe Ruth. Blue ink signature is very large for the Ruth's style at that time with quotation marks around Babe. Signature rates a solid 8-8.5 out of 10. Ball originated from the family of John W. Marchetti who was a graduate of Columbia College in 1929 and went of to work on prototype radar systems including the one used at Pearl Harbor to detect the attack. The ball has been in the Marchetti family until its' current offering and includes orig. ball box. This is the finest Babe Ruth single signed Ban Johnson AL ball that we have seen offered at public auction. Includes letter of provenance from family and LOA from PSA/DNA J.Spence-S.Grad: EX/MT-NM
