Description: Rare and possibly unique Joe Jackson baseball card c.1915. Early black and white card measures 1 5/8"x 2 3/4" featuring image of Jackson batting which is identical to the pose used i the 1915 Sporting News M101-5 card set. The lettering under photo reads, "Joe Jackson, LF, Chi.WhiteSox" which again bears resemblance to the M101-5 card printing. Card has a vertical crease and some general wear incl. evenly rounded corners, blank back has typical age soiling. Although uncatalogued there have been a few other identical cards that have turned up incl. Honus Wagner and Larry Doyle which was confirmed by hobby veteran Lew Lipset. Extraordinary rarity with special note to the limited number of Jackson related cards in existence: GD-VG
