Description: Fine 1866 baseball presentational belt buckle. Ornately decorated silver buckle features player running in early uniform with fancily inscribed titlng, "American House Prize Chas. Force Best Runner of Bases Rockford June 1866 Base Ball Tournament". Back retains (2) original belt receptacles and is in strong overall condition. Rockford,IL was one of the early formative regions for baseball giving rise to such teams as the Forest Citys Club.
