Description: 1914 "Christy Mathewson Number" Baseball Magazine and Spalding Base Ball Guide. Includes December 1914 issue of Baseball Magazine with a famed image of Mathewson displayed above "Christy Mathewson Number" text along the lower edge. Heavy wear includes creases and wrinkles throughout and the covers also have chips and missing pieces (larger portions of back cover are missing). Bound edge has a good amount of tape added to secure/hold in place the covers; 1914 Spalding Base Ball Guide which shows heavy wear including creases, chipping, and the bound edge is secured with strips of toned tape.
