Description: Christy Mathewson "Grateful Recognition of Patriotic Services" presentational medal with 1925 M.O.W.W. year book. Presentational medal given to Christy Mathewson has "Pro Patria" text on the upper bar with a red, white, a blue ribbon below (near fully separated from the bar but can be positioned for display such that it appears intact). Hanging from the ribbon is a bronze medallion which has "United States Forces 1917-1918" text around the edge. Lettered on back is "Presented By The Citizens Of Union County, PA, In Grateful Recognition Of Patriotic Services In The World War"; 1925 "Military Order of the World War...Greater Boston Chapter Year Book." The booklet was issued in March of 1925 and Mathewson is listed among the members. Light wear.
