Description: 1962 Play-Rite "Roger Maris Baseball Game" with (88) playing cards. Vintage game issued at the height of Maris' popularity following his 1961 record setting season. While not particularly difficult to locate, it is very seldom found with the playing cards included. Original box displays at EX level with some minor scattered flaws however technical grade falls at lower level as (2) corners of the lid are secured with tape. One of the more complete examples of this game we have seen with contents including a playing board, unused heavy stock scoreboard, similar sized scorer (with rotating wheels), several small player tiles, the original crayon, and (88) cards picturing Maris in Yankee uniform which were used to play. These cards a recognized issue by both PSA and SGC and both companies grade them. Cards are in average VG/EX-EX condition (with most having just a light touch to corners) with some lesser: Cards avg.
