Description: 1956 New York Yankees oversized team photograph (World Series Champions). Large format 11"x14" team photograph showing uniformed members of the Championship team posed in Yankee Stadium. Original paper caption is on the back dated September 8, 1956 and there are a pair of additional sections of newsprint paper affixed (dated Sept. 9th and 23rd) which presumably appeared alongside the image when published. Notable subjects include Mickey Mantle in his Triple Crown season, Don Larsen whom pitched a World Series perfect game, Whitey Ford, Billy Martin, Bill Dickey, Casey Stengel, Yogi Berra, Elston Howard, and Enos Slaughter. Light handling wear includes a few scattered creases/wrinkles and there is some photographers mask applied in areas.
