Description: Rare large format Heubach German bisque porcelain baseball figurines c.1880s. Seldom offered largest size of the pitcher and batter figurine stand 16" tall each with hand painted blue and red pinstriped uniforms. Very clean examples presenting in strong general condition with the pitcher having small repair to a floral decoration piece on the base. Impressed German manufacturer stampings "Geschuetzt-Gesetzlich" appear under the base. While somewhat frequently found offered in the smaller size variants (such as the other pair in this auction) these 16" tall specimens are notably scarce and rarely offered: EX-MT
